قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لله أشد فرحا بتوبة عبده المؤمن من رجل في أرض دويه مهلكة معه راحلته عليها طعامه وشرابه فنام فاستيقظ وقد ذهبت فطلبها حتى أدركه العطش ثم قال أردع إلى مكاني الذي كنت فيه فلأنام حتى اموت فوضع رأسه على ساعده ليموت فاسيتقظ وعنده راحلته وعليها زاده وطعامه وشرابه فالله أشد فرحا بتوبة العبد المؤمن من هذا براحلته وزاده" وفي هذا الكتاب يقص علينا الأستاذ " محمد بن عبد السلام مئة قصة وقصة من الذين فرح بهم ربهم وبعودتهم من صحراء الضلالة إلى ظلاله عز وجل فهى قصص من تاب و آمن بربه ، مثل توبه امرؤ القيس وتوبة الملك كنعان وبعض من قصص بني اسرائيل ملوكهم وعوامهم وتوبة بعض الصحابة رضى الله عنهم وغيرهم من التابعين والتأخرين جميعها تمتلئ بالايمان والروحانية وما يحرك الوجدانات والقلوب التقية "بالموعظة والحكمة والمثل التى يتجدد بها إيمان المرء وعقيدته.
