في مجموعته الشعرية الأولى يبوح سامي بن غتّار الثقفي سراً لـ "أميرة القلب" ويعزف لحناً على أوتار قيثارته؛ وينشد بأجمل الأصوات؛ صوت الشعر الحقيقي، الشعر الذي يمنح الكتابة قيمة عليا، ومن غير الحب يحوز هذه الجائزة. في القصيدة التي يفتتح بها الشاعر الثقفي مجموعته: "بوح" يقول: عزفتُ لحناً على أوتار قيثاري / فاعشوشب القلبُ من ترنيم أوتاري / سريتُ في ليل أحلامي فما بلغت / مدائن الفجرِ خيلٌ أيها الساري / متى تنيحُ عصا الترحال يا شجناً / ما زال يأسرني من غير إنذارِ (...)".
وبهذا الإشتغال يقوم الشاعر بمهمة في غاية الدقة، حين يرصد للقارىء مفردات التجربة (العاطفية / الشعورية) الخاصة بالرجل، وتأشيرها في النص، من خلال منح القصيدة قدراً من الرومانسية التي توحي للقارىء وتكشف له عن كل أبعاد النص، وتدع له فسحة من التخييل في تصور الحدث الشعري الذي يتشارك فيه مع الشاعر في عيش الحالة.
يضم الكتاب قصائد في الشعر العمودي والشعر الحر والشعر العربي الموزون والمقفى جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "بوح" ، "أميرة القلب" ، "وطن المجد" ، "لا بأس ... يا ليل!!" ، يا لهذا العالم" ، "رسالة" (...) وقصائد أخرى.
