فأي مصيبة تُنسى لهم فمنذ وفاة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى الآن، فمصائبهم مستمرة، فالإمام الصادق عليهم السلام يقول ما مضمونه: ما مر عيد على المسلمين أضحى كان أو فطر إلا كان لنا حزناً، لأننا نرى ملكنا بأيدي غيرنا... لكن أعظم المصائب على مر على سيدنا "ابي عبد الله الحسين" عليه السلام في يوم عاشوراء... مصيبة دمعت لها كل العيون من آدم إلى الآن فهي الأعظم والأدهى وذلك لأنه خامس أصحاب الكساء فكان إستشهاده قد أدى إلى رحيل آخرهم إلى جوار ربه.
لذا إرتأى المؤلف أن يجعل خمسين مجلساً شاملاً لجميع الأئمة عليهم السلام ابتدأنا من الرسول وانتهينا بالإمام الحسن العسكري لكي يكون ذخراً ونوراً على الصراط المستقيم في يوم القيامة...
