هذا الكتاب ليس سرد قصة معايشتي الشخصية وعن قرب لأزمة التغيير السياسي وتبيان حقيقة الأدوار التي مُورست فيها، فتلك شهادة وعبرة للتاريخ لمن يعتبر فحسب، وإنما الأهم محاولة المساهمة ولو بقليل أو كثير من المجهود السياسي والفكري مع آخرين يكنون لهذا البلد الفضل والتقدير على ما هم فيه من نعمة، والعمل على إعادة توجيه بوصلة هذا البلد التي انحرفت كثيراً نحو بر الأمان السياسي والإجتماعي، عبر رؤية للحل السياسي عابرة للطوائف والإنحيازات الضيقة.
محاولة لوقف هذا الإنهيار الكبير والإستنزاف الحادث في بنية المجتمع، ليس الإقتصادية والمالية المباشرة فحسب التي يمكن تعويضها بقدر كبير من الكفاءة والإدارة الرشيدة، وإنما أيضاً الإجتماعية، والعمل على درْءٍ وإيقاف هذا التحلل الخطير في وشائج ونسيج المجتمع التي تكونت عبر قرون وعقود طويلة، فشل الإستعمار الإيطالي في إزاحتها، وللأسف الشديد ساهمنا نحن فيها بسبب ما يمكن توصيفه بالعمى السياسي، الذي جعل الكل في حالة عداء مع الكل.
وأتذكر هنا قول رائد الحقوق المدنية بالولايات المتحدة مارتن لوثر كينج حينما وصف حالة العداء بين السود والبيض بالولايات المتحدة، "إمّا أن نعيش أسوياء ومتساوي الحقوق والواجبات أو نموت داخل الوطن كأغبياء"، ما أحوج الليبيين اليوم لمصالحة مع النفس ونبذ حالة الإحتراب والعداء المتبادل التي أشاعت أجواء العنف السياسي وإفتقاد الثقة بالآخر، لكي يعيشوا أسوياء، ولكون البديل ما نراه الآن من إصرار البعض على الموت نتيجة ممارسات أقل ما توصل به أنها غبية.
