- حاصل على إجازة في حفظ القرآن الكريم، وبكالريوس في الفقه والأصول، وبكالريوس في الترجمة (عربية/فرنسية/إنجليزية)، وماجستير في إدارة الأعمال من جامعة كولومبيا الجنوبية بولاية ألاباما، وماجستير ثم دكتوراه في تاريخ الأديان من جامعة تكساس.

- كتاب "صلاح الدين الأيوبي في الذاكرة السنية والشيعية" (فصل من كتاب "تذكُّر الحروب الصليبية" المنشور بمطابع جامعة جون هابكنز في واشنطن).
- تُرجمتْ أغلب أعماله إلى اللغة التركية، وطبعتها دار "معنى" في إسطنبول بين عامي 2006 و2012.
وقد نشر عشرات المقالات على موقع الجزيرة نت، وشارك في العديد من المؤتمرات العربية والدولية.
