أصل العقيدة عند أهل الحق قائم على الإيمان بالله الواحد الأحد، المتفرد بوحدانيته، خالق أزلي، عندما كان موجوداً لم يكن أحد او شيء سواه.
خلق من جوهر ذاته الإلهية الدرة البيضاء، وأودعها قاع المحيط البدئي، ومن الدرة خلق السماوات والأراضين وما بينهما، وخلق الأرواح قبل الماديات، فهو الخالق لكل موجود ومتواجد في باطن كل مخلوق (على مبدأ وحدة الوجود).
الأرواح في معتقد أهل الحق خالدة والأجساد بالية.
والجنة وجهنم مفهومان معنويان لا وجود لهما في الواقع المادي، والمفهومان يعنيان القرب من الله تعالى والبعد عنه، فبقدر ما يكون العبد قريباً من الله تعالى ينعم بالفرح والسعادة والإطمئنان، وبقدر ما يكون بعيداً عن يشعر بالمرارة والخزي والعذاب.
