أخرج الطبيب مناديل ورقية وبدأ يجفف العرق الذي تفصد على جبهته، مد يده نحوي معزياً ومضى، وحدي أنا الآن أمامه في الصالة الخالية إلاّ منّا نحن الإثنين، شاخصاً ببصري في وجهه الذي بدا لي حالماً محلقاً في فضاء بعيد لا أنكر أن معالم للدهشة تشكلت على محياه لم أكن أستوضحها ونحن مربكون من حوله نحاول إعادته.
إلاّ أنها الآن عالقة على وجهه، كانت كمن تشبّثت به لحظة كان مغادراً لتكون هي آخر رسالة يقوى على إيصالها على عجل.
