الكتاب في الواقع وثيقة تاريخية مهمة، لا غنى عنه لأي باحث عن إجابات لأسئلة معلقة، وإن كانت غير محايدة، ولا حصر لها، وثيقة تستحق الإحترام والتقدير، لأنّها: تفتح الآفاق لمقاربات ومحاولات أكثر من موسمية لإستخلاص الدروس والعبر.
محاولات منظمة بدقة وإتقان لمخاطبة الذات قبل الآخرين، مآسي فلسطين المحتلة وأهلها في كل مكان ليست بحاجة إلى بكاء أو غضب حاقد، بل غضب دارس يتعظ ويعتبر، ويحاسب المقصرين والمتواطئين، وكل من ارتكب إثماً سياسياً أو نضالياً في حق فلسطين.
وتعيد التأكيد على ضرورة إبتداع رؤيا جمعية للصراع وطبيعته مع كل مكونات معسكر الأعداء، وتحديد مفردات معسكر الأصدقاء والحلفاء، وتحديد جلي واضح للأدوات والأولويات والمواقيت، دون ذلك سيتكرر إغتيال الحلم والأمل والتبريرات والإتهامات، وسيبقى تحرير فلسطين بالتأكيد على الطريق غير الصحيح إلى حيفا.
