تأتي سوسيولوجيا المصنع كدراسة تحليلية لواقع المنشأة الصناعية اللبنانية الكائنة في جنوب لبنان، المقَوْنن منها وغير المقونن وذلك من منظور مفهومَيْ التسلّط والتوافق، وأثر كل منهما في الإنتاج المادي وفي العلاقات الإنسائية داخل المنشأة الصناعية. كذلك ركزت سوسيولوجيا المصنع على تحليل التنظيم الاجتماعي داخل المنشأة الصناعية، إضافة إلى الكشف عن نمط العلاقات الاجتماعية القائمة بين أرباب العمل والعمال وكذلك بين العمال أنفسهم؛ ومن الأهمية بمكان الإشارة إلى القضايا البحثية التي طرحتها سوسيولوجيا المصنع، والتي تتطلب القيام بأبحاث ودراسات للكشف عن واقع سوق العمل والتوظيف، فضلاً عن ضرورة تقييم انتظام التعليم المهني ومدى ملاءمته لسوق العمل.
