حين نذهب إليه نفرح جدا لأننا سوف نقابله، ونفرح جدا لأن الطريق مليان بالبط الأسود والأوز الأبيض الذي يجرى وراءنا يريد عضنا فنخاف ونجري ونحن نضحك. حين وصلنا ، وقفنا على حافة النهر، وجعلنا من أيدينا قراطيس وضعناها على أفواهنا ونادينا بالصوت العالى في نفس واحد: اطلع يا ديب. وسكتنا فجأة فلم يطلع أحد وقلنا: جئنا إليك يا ديب. وسكتنا فسمعنا صوت العصافير ولم يرد أحد. وانتظرنا ان يخرج لنا- فخرج ، وانتظرنا ان يتكلم- فتكلم : اهلا بالعيال. دخل فدخلنا بيته في النهر ، وقال أبي : إذا خرج الديث من النهر مات كما السمك.
