كلما حاولتُ الولوج في طيات" الليل يلفظ أنفاسه الأخيرة " شعرتُ أني لازلت في مقدمة الرّواية، لأنّها تحوي سرداً واقعياً ذا شجون، تحاكي الألم الذي يعتصرُ الرّوح. حاولتُ أنْ أقتحم النصوص المسبوكة بعناية فائقة، فوجدت الكاتبة بين نصوص الرّواية تارةٍ تنثر حزنها بجملة: " أنا الآن أبحث عن شيء مهم في دهاليز مظلمة وأتحسسُ ما حولي ببطء عليّ أن أصل إليه أخيراً " وتارةٍ أجدها تتساءل بشكلٍ يحمل مفاهيم فلسفية عميقة: "من أين جاء العالم؟ أليس من الغريب أن نحيا؟" وبين هذه الأسئلة والسرد الواقعي الذي أرى فيه شخصية الكاتبة، وبين ملامح الخيال الجامح الذي يقودني إلى عالم النسيج الفكري، وأنا أتلذذ بمطالعة وتمعن تلك الحروف السامقة والشامخة.
