"البدر العيني" كتاب نالت به مؤلفته درجة الدكتوراه من كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية/ قسم اللغة العربية في جامعة دمشق برتبة امتياز، ويأتي ضمن مشروع ((مئة رسالة جامعية سورية)) التي تعنى دار النوادر بنشرها.
يعتبر ((صحيح البخاري)) أصح كتب السنة عند المسلمين وأغزرها فائدة؛ لأجل ذلك تفانى العلماء ـ قديماً وحديثاً ـ في دراسته، وشرحه، واستخراج فوائده.
وكان الإمام العيني أحد المبرزين في هذا الشأن، وذلك من خلال كتابه: ((عمدة القاري شرح صحيح البخاري)).
اعتمدت مؤلفة هذا الكتاب المنهج التحليلي الوصفي؛ حيث قامت بمناقشة آراء البدر العيني، وعرضتها على أقوال العلماء متخذة في ذلك موقف المحايد المنصف.
بدأت الحديث عن الإمام العيني، والتعريف بكتابه، وتحدَّثت عن حياته الشخصية والعلمية، ومن ثم تحدَّثت عن كتاب ((عمدة القاري)) وبينت منهج الإمام العيني فيه، ثم تحدَّثت عن جهوده الحديثية في دراسة أسانيد ((الصحيح))، وجهوده في دراسة متون ((صحيح البخاري))، وعنايته بمفردات الأحاديث، ثم بينت منهجه في الوقوف على المعاني الدقيقة للأحاديث، وبينت جهوده في اللغة العربية، وعنايته بالقضايا النحوية والمسائل الإعرابية المتصلة بالمعاني.
فهذا الكتاب يعتبر مرآة تعكس جهود إمام من أكابر العلماء الذين تفننوا في خدمة ((صحيح البخاري)).
