وجدت الرغبة جامحة نحو تحقيق كتاب شرح مسائل ابن جماعة التونسي في البيوع لمؤلفه أبي العباس أحمد القباب وذلك لعدة أسباب منها: أن الشرح يعد شرحًا جامعًا لأبواب فقه المعاملات كما يمتاز بسلاسة الأسلوب وسهولة العبارة، رجوع الشرح إلى عصر متقدم- القرن الثامن الهجري- وقياس شرحه بتوثيق آراء كبار فقهاء المالكية ابتداء بإمام المذهب الإمام مالك رحمه الله تعالى- وأصحابه كابن القاسم وأشهب وسحنون وغيرهم، كذلك تعد المسائل والشرح مرجعين مهمين، حيث اتخذهما الفقهاء مصدرًا لمؤلفاتهم وآرائهم.
فكتابنا هذا شأنه لحري به أن يحقق لبنة جديدة إلى الفقه الإسلامي عمومًا، وإلى الفقه المالكي خصوصًا، نظرًا للأهمية الكبيرة التي يتميز بها هذا الشرح عن غيره من الشروح.
