واعتمد على مصادر كثيرة، واتصل ببعض الإختصاصيين، منهم الراهب الدومينكي الفرنسي، الباحث في تاريخ الكفن القديم، الأب اندريه ماري دويارل، والراهب السياسي الأميركي، الأب بيتر رينالدي كما عاين الكفن المعروض في كاتدرائية القديس يوحنا المعمدان.
