ليس القصد من هذا الكتاب إضافة سيرة نبوية جديدة إلى السير النبوية المحمدية التي زخرت بها المكتبات. وليس الكتاب شرحاً للإسلام أو لبعض أحكام أو دفاعاً عنه أو مجادلة لخصومه فهذه أغراض استوفت في مواطن شتى يكتب أصحابها ومن لهم القدرة عليها.
وإنما هذا البحث هو نابع في الحب الذي يدين به كل إنسان، والتقدير الواجب لشخص "محمد" وهو نتيجة إيمان المؤلف الدكتور "إسماعيل حلمي" بأن عمل "محمد" كان لتحويل المكان الأسمى بين صفوة الأخيار الخالدين، وحيث يرى أن ميزات القيادة وميزان العمل وميزان العقدة قد رجح بمحمد. فهو بذلك قائد عظيم لا ينال منه في عظمته هذه بغى الجهلاء كما لم ينل منع بغي الكفار وقت الرسالة.
ولهذا سوف يلقي ببحثه هذا الضوء على الأمور التي تخص شخص محمد حيث أسرة محمد ومن هم -ومن هو محمد وميلاده- فصاحته عسكريته، بصيرته في القيادة، ذكاؤه السياسي، ملكاته الشخصية، رئاسته وصداقته لمؤويده، دروسه التي قدمها من خلال زواجه وأبوته وعبادته لله معجزاته وأخلاقه.
كانت الضرورة لوجود مبحث يظهر للعامل كله أنه لا فائدة في هذا الكون إلا اتباع سنة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم وقرآنه وأنه لا قيادة مهما كانت تعتبر مكتملة إلا بقيادة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم الذي لا ينال من عظمته بغى الجهلاء كما لم ينل منه بغى الكفار وقت الرسالة.
وأنه لا بد أن يكون هناك بحث له مكانته التي تليق بصاحب الرسالة وأسرته ومن هم؟ وميلاده، وفصاحته، وعسكريته، وبصيرته في القيادة وذكاءه السياسي، دروسه التي قدمها من خلال زواجه وأبوته وعبادته لله، معجزاته وأخلاقه، وذلك من خلال مادة سهلة سلسلة تقر الحقائق والبراهين على أن محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم قائد الأمم.
النور المتجدد الذي يستضىء به العقول وتتبدد به الظلمات وتنقشع به الغشاوات الفريد الوحيد، الذي -مقدمات شخصيته العظيمة- لو توفرت في أي شخص آخر لا تأتي بمثل هذه النتائج التي استعرضناها في بحثنا هذا إلا بعناية الله وأمره. فالله وحده أراد لحبيبه ما أراد فكان محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم بكل ما كان دليل الدلائل على أنه هو الحق وما جاء به هو الحق.
