ليست الحالة السلفية أو السلفية التكفيرية ظاهرة جديدة في الوطن العربي، لكن تمددها وإتخاذها منحىً إرهابياً على هذا النحو الذي شهدناه في العقد الأخير، أي بعد الغزو الأمريكي للعراق، ثم بعد موجة إنتفاضات "الربيع العربي" وما أحدثته من تداعيات وإنهيارات في غير بلد عربي، أعطى الحالة التكفيرية بعداً آخر.
فقد أدى إنهيار الدولة في العراق عقب الغزو الأمريكي عام 2003، إلى توافر أرض حاضنة لسلفية جهادية ساعدت ظروف الغزو وتداعياته على بلورة أجندة لدى جيلٍ جديدٍ من أتباع تلك السلفية مختلفٍ عن سابقيه لجهة تحديد الأولويات وتوجيه الحزام نحو جماعات داخل المجتمع العربي بدلاً من توجيهه نحو رأس "الكفر" العالمي بالولايات المتحدة.
ثم جاءت إنتفاضات الربيع العربي الذي استطاعت بعض البلدان التي اجتاحها الحفاظ على وحدتها ومركزية دولتها، كما هي الحال في تونس ومصر، في حين شهد بعضها الآخر تقلصاً لوحدة الدولة ومركزيتها وفقدان سلطتها في مساحات واسعة من التراب الوطني، وهذا ما حصل في سورية وليبيا واليمن على الأقل.
وهكذا دخل الوطن العربي مع هذا التضخم لدور السلفية التكفيرية ونفوذها في مرحلة تاريخية جديدة تلاشت معها كل أو معظم الشعارات والهموم العامة التي سادت مرحلة سيادة الدولة الوطنية المركزية في معظم الأقطار العربية.
يضم هذا الكتاب ثمانية فصول في الفكر الفلسفي وفي الإرهاب التكفيري، وهي في معظمها دراسات سبق أن نشرت في مجلة "المستقبل العربي"، وهي يعاد نشرها في هذا الكتاب نظراً إلى أهميتها، سواء في الوقائع التي تقدمها أم في التحليل أم في الرؤى البديلة لمواجهة الحالة التكفيرية وما انبثق عنها من إرهاب وتدمير.
