يعرض الكتاب للخديعة الكبرى التي أطلق عليها زوراً: "الربيع العربي". كما يعدد أسباب وخلفيات ومخاطر وتداعيات تدخل القوى الأطلسية وحلفائها العرب بزعامة الولايات المتحدة في أحداث هذا "الربيع". يخرج الكتاب بنتيجة مفادها أن الهدف الحقيقي لهذا الربيع المزعوم بتمثل في ترسيخ الركائز الأربع للسياسة الأمريكية في المنطقة وهي:
* ضمان تدفق نفط الشرق الأوسط إلى الأسواق العالمية.
* ضمان بقاء الحلفاء العرب ثابتين على مواقفهم من القوى الأطلسية.
* ضمان أمن إسرائيل وكبح طموحات الشعوب العربية الأكثر راديكالية تجاه إسرائيل.
* محاصرة إيران.
يركز الكتاب على الأحداث التي وقعت في ليبيا، وعلاقتها بما جرى في تونس ومصر واليمن والبحرين والسعودية؛ وكيف هيأت القوى الأطلسية نفسها وحلفاءها لبدء معركة سياسية واقتصادية ودبلوماسية وحتى عسكرية لضمان خروج الأحداث في تلك الدول بما ينسجم والركائز الأربع المذكورة أعلاه، وكيف أن هذه القوى كانت منتقدة لبعض الدول ومتماهية مع البعض الآخر.
ينتقد الكتاب بشدة الخروقات الفاضحة التي قامت بها القوى الأطلسية لقراري مجلس الأمن 1970 و 1973 حول ليبيا، وخروقاتها لحقوق الإنسان، كما يتعرض بالنقد الشديد للأمم المتحدة والوكالات والمنظمات التابعة لها، وكذلك المنظمات التي تعمل خارج إطارها على سياسة ازدواجية المعايير التي مارستها خلال تلك الأحداث.
