" تاليا عليها، ذيلا لها (..) هم جميعا لا يتطلعون نحو الجماهير ولا يعنيهم أمرهم ، لكنهم متعلقون بأذيال السلطة، وهم - من ثم - حريصون على إرضاء المسئولين وترديد أفكارهم وتنظير نزواتهم والجفاع عن مصالحهم .. (..) إن المسرح عندهم لا يحمل رسالة ما ، هو ليس "مركب أفكار" يعنيهم أن يوصلوها لجمهورهم، إنما هو- ببساطة - وسيلة ارتزاق وصعود وتواجد في الساحة الثقافية ، ورخصة شاملة للبقاء في مواقع القيادة من هذه الساحة.. وقد تحقق لهم ما كانوا يتطلعون إليه، فشغلوا - وما زالوا يشغلون- مواقعهم المؤثرة في أجهزة الثقافة الرسمية، ومنها إلى السلطة والشهرة والمال والحياة الرخية.
