إن التلقي العربي في تاريخنا الحديث لأفكار داروين ونظرياته، وتداعياتها البيولوجية والفلسفية، كان محط إهتمام المؤلفة، إذ سعت من خلال هذه الدراسة، التي تصدر في نسختها العربية عن مركز نماء، لتتبع أنماط التعاطي المختلفة مع خريطة أفكار داروين، وتحليل القراءة العربية المعاصرة له، وفق صراعات الدين والعلم، وإجابات أسئلة النهضة والتقدم.
