بدأت رحلة الكتابة مع هذه المقالات عن كتاب ليبيا في يناير 1985 ف بالشاعر المرحوم علي الفراني.
وقد كنت نشرت المقالات الأربعة عشر الأولي بصحيفة نهر الغراء التي كان يرأس تحريرها الصحفي الأديب محمد سنوسي الغزالي ثم إذا توقفت " النهر " عن الصدور توقفت بدوري عن الكتابة في هذه السلسلة لمدة لا تقل عن عشرين سنة دون أن التفت إلي الفكرة أو جدواها التي بدأت علي وتدق ذاكرتي وتطالبني بالعودة حتي إذا عن لي عاودت الكتابة في صحيفة ( أخبار بنغازي) التي يرأس تحريرها الأديب سالم العبار ثم بعد أكثر من عشرين حلقة وقفت عن الكتابة .
وبين هذه السنوات ضاع مني الكثير وضقت ذرعا كثير وراودني شعور الياس من الجدوي حتي ظهرت فكرة سلسلة القراءات في كتب وسيكون هذا الجزء باكورتها إن شاء الله
