فهذا كتابي "الاستغناء والنحوي بخاصة" وهو دراسة حول ظاهرة الاستغناء في الدرس اللغوي بعامة والنحوي بخاصة وهي من الظواهر الكثيرة التي ألفناها في اللغة العربية ولا أدعي هنا أني أخرجتها من غياهب النسيان لأطرح عليها من حلل الفصاحة والبيان ولكن سبقت بدراسات وأبواب طيبة حول هذه الظاهرة وأفدنا منها كثيرًا ولكن في كتابي هذا آثرت الشمولية والجمع لشواهد الاستغناء وشوارده حيث كانت الدراسات السابقة شتاتًا متفرقًا في ثنايا مؤلفاتهم رأيت أنه بحاجة للجمع والتبويب والتحليل كي يسهل على القارئ الكريم معرفة معلومات كثيرة عن هذه الظاهرة بين دفتي كتاب واحد دون تكبد مشقة البحث في ثنايا أمهات الكتب القديمة لذا سيلاحظ القراء أننا ركزنا على آراء النحاة القدامى لأن ظاهرة الاستغناء كما سنرى من صنع العرب واكتشفها كبار النحاة دون غيرهم.
