قرأت كتاب( المنهاج في شرح جمل الزجاج)لابي حسين يحيي بن حمزة العلوي قراءة تلو قراءة فوجدته من كتب التراث النحوي المفيدة لاسيما وانه شرح لاحد كتب التراث المختصرة الجامعة وهو كتاب الجمل الذي دارت حوله الشروح الكثيرة ومن أهم الاسباب التي دعتني لاختياره ما يلي:
ان للعلوي شروحا لمختصرات نحوية أخري مما اكسبه الالمام بجملة الاراء وتفصيلها والاطلاع علي الفكر النحوي بمدارسه واختلافاته.
حرص العلوي الشديد علي توضيح عبارة المؤلف بالرجوع الي الجمل مع شرحها وتحليلها ان معظم الشروح الاخري لم تستوف أبواب الجمل كاملة بينما أتي العلوي عليها جميعا عذوبة العبارة وسهولتها فهي قريبة المتناول يسيرة الفهم بعيدة عن التعقيد والتكليف اشتهار العلوي بكتاب الطراز فأردنا ان نظهر أحد كتبه النحوية تعريفا بفكره ومنهجه وثقافته.
