هذه رسالة لطيفة، صغيرة خفيفة، جمع فيها مصنفها وهو العلامة "محمد الأمير الكبير المالكي" أربعمائة حديث، كلها مكذوبة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، وباطلة لا أصل لها ومنكرة. مع تركه لأسانيدها لكونها لا أصل لها، وكل جارية على ألسنة العوام؛ وهدفه تعريف المسلمين على الأحاديث الصحيحة وتنبيههم على المكذوب منها. أما ترتيبه لها فكان على حروف المعجم، لأجل التسهيل على القارئ، وعلى الذي يريد الكشف على حديث اشتبه فيه، فيجده في حرفه براحة وبدون عناء. هذا وقد جاءت هذه النسخة محققة ليسهل الانتفاع منها من قبل المضطلع على مضمونها.
