لما كان اختلاف الأنظار تقتضيه طبيعة الإنسان، جعل الله تعالى أصول هذا الدين الخاتم وأمهات الفضائل والرذائل، في نصوص بينة لا تقبل صرفًا ولا تأويلًا، ولا جدلًا ولا مراء، وحذر من التلاعب بتأويلها وتطويعها للأهواء والشهوات، وعذر الخلق إذا ما اختلفوا في غيرها، ولقد كان السلف الصالح من العلماء يعذر بعضهم بعضًا إذا ما اختلفوا ولا يعيب أحد منهم رأيًا رآه غيره، فكانوا بهذا أقرب في الوصول إلى الصواب. ثم خلف من بعدهم خلف قدسوا هذه الآراء، وبالغوا في التعصب لها، والطعن فيما سواها، فتشعبت بهم الطرق، وتعرجت المسالك على السالك، وأبعدتهم عن الأصل الأول "الكتاب والسنة" حتى أهملوا النظر فيهما، وتخاصموا وتعادوا كما يتخاصم ويتعادى أتباع الأديان المختلفة. وفي هذا الكتاب ثروة من النصوص التي سطرها العلماء الأعلام، الذين نهجوا نهج السلف الصالح، فجعلوا الاختلاف- الذي هو سنة من سنن الله تعالى- مصدرًا للسعة، التي هي نعمة من نعم هذا الدين، الذي هو عدل كله.. وحكمة كله.. ومصلحة كله.. ويسر كله.. ورفق بكل الذين آمنوا به، وسعدوا بما جاء فيه. نسأل الله تعالى أن يوفقنا للرجوع إلى ما كان عليه علماء الصدر الأول ومن تبعهم بإحسان.. آمين.
