رحل تشينوا أتشيبي صاحب هذه التحفة الادبية و بقيت روايته التى تعلق بها العالم كونها اعطت الافارقة صوتاً حيث حطم مؤلفها فيها القناع الذى و ضعه الاستعمار، و كانت روايته هذه " الاشياء تتداعى" اول رواية إفريقية تكتب بالانجليزية و تحظى بنجاح حول العالم بعد ان قام بنشرها عام 1958 و ترجمت إلى اكثر من 50 لغة، كشهادة على الاثر العميق الذى تركته الرواية. الاشياء تتداعى هى شهادة على المأساة الإفريقية يكتبها روائى نيجيري عظيم عاش هذة الماساة، وقدم شهادته من واقع معايشته و معاناته أيضاً.
