أصبحت القضية الحسينية من أهم القضايا الإسلامية ولذلك تناولها المفكرون والكتاب بالبحث والدراسة من جوانب عدة وبأساليب مختلفة، فنتج عن ذلك كم هائل وعدد كثير من الكتب والبحوث أثرت المكتبة الإسلامية.
إن هذه الدراسة هي الأولى في نوعها من حيث المضمون والموضوع حيث أن الكاتب درس قضية الإمام الحسن عليه السلام وفلسفتها وأبعادها من جهة تأثيرها على قضية الإمام الحسين عليه السلام وفيها بشكل مباشر للأهمية الصلح الحسني وتأثيره المباشر في الموقف الحسيني بحث صلح الإمام الحسن عليه السلام وجعله فصلاً مستقلاً وجعل الفصل الثاني حول القضية الحسينية إبتداء من وفاة الإمام الحسن عليه السلام وأثار فيه أموراً مهمة جداً لم تبحث ولم تثر من قبل في القضية الحسينية.
وأما الفصل الثالث: فيتناول البحث عن الأحداث إبتداء من قرار الإمام الحسين عليه السلام الخروج من مكة والتوجه إلى العراق وأثار فيه أهم المشكلات التي أثيرت أمام القضية الحسينية، وأما الفصل الرابع: فيبحث إنقلاب الكوفة وعرض أهم المشكلات التي واجهت القضية الحسينية، أو وجهت لها، كما درس فيه بعض الجهات في خطب الإمام الحسين عليه في يوم عاشوراء، وأما الفصل الخامس: فبحث فيه أموراً مهمة اقترنت بقضية الإمام الحسين عليه السلام وجدها جديرة بالإثارة والإهتمام، وأما الفصل السادس: فدرس فيه أهم الأمور التي ترتبت على قضية الإمام الحسين عليه كالبكاء وفلسفته، والمجلس الحسيني ومنبره وتطوره.
