لم يظفر فيلسوف- فيما نعتقد- بترجمة مؤلفاته إلى العربية كما ظفر جون ديوى. فقد ترجمت له الكتب الأتية: الديمقراطية والتربية, تجديد فى الفلسفة, البحث عن اليقين, عقيدتى الفلسفية, عقيدتى التربوية, الخبرة والتربية, المنطق أو نظرية البحث, الحرية والثقافة, أراء توماس جيفرسون.
وله كتب أخرى فى طريقها إلى الترجمة والنشر باللغة العربية, وبذلك تكمل معرفة ديوى لدى الناطقين بالضاد, بإعتبار أنه فيلسوف عالمى صاحب مذهب كبير, وبإعتبار أنه ممثل الفلسفة الأمريكية. سنصف كتبه تبعاً للموضوعات الرئيسة التى طرقها, وكذلك منهجه ونختص كتاب "البحث عن اليقين" بمزيد من التفصيل, هذا بالإضافة إلى إستعراض سريع لسيرته ونشأته.
