الكتاب يتناول الحديث عن أمور عدّة كما اعتقدت بها المجبرة والثّنوية والبكريّة، وتبيان أحكامها. وفقا لما يلي: باب في أنّ الألم لا يقبّح لكونه ألما على مايقوله " الثّنويّة". وباب في بيان حكم المضار إذا وقعت من العباد في أمره تعالى، أو إباحته أو تمكينه وما يتّصل بذلك. باب في حقيقة وصف الفعل بأنّه نفع وصلاح وبأنّه ضرر وفساد وما يتّصل بذلك من الأسماء، باب في المستحقّ من الثّواب والعقاب في حال التّكليف لم يبطل بل يوفّر في الآخرة، وتطرّق للكلام في وجوب النّظر، والتّوبة والنّبوات.
