إن الذي يطلع على (الدرة البهية: نظم الآجرومية) لشرف الدين يحيى بن موسى العمريطي, يدرك أنها من روائع المنظومات في النحو العربي.
وهذا الكتاب الذي هو شرح لهذه المنظومة النحوية السنية التي يبلغ عدد أبياتها (254) بيتاً شعرياً يعتبر الشرح الثاني لها.
أما الشرح الأول فهو شرح قديم (1229هجرية), للشيخ ابراهيم البيجوري رحمه الله تعالى. وهو شرح قيم, ولكنه مختصر مجمل ومكتوب بأسلوب يناسب طلاب العلم في ذلك العصر.
أما الشرح الثاني فهو هذا الكتاب, وقد كتبه الباحث ماجد محمد الراغب بأسلوب سلس يناسب طلاب العلم في هذا العصر, وذلك انطلاقاً من إحساسه وإدراكه حاجة عشاق اللغة العربية وطلابها الى تبسيط في عرض القضية النحوية, والى وضوح في العبارة, وإلى رشاقة في سير الكلمات.
ولسوف يجد فيه القارئ بغيته من نماذج معربة إعراباً تفصيلياً لا إجمال فيه ولا تعقيد، وذلك سدّاً للفراغ الموجود في الكثير من المؤلفات.
