أنت تقرأ، يا عزيزي، أربعة كتب منفردة تحتوي على أربع قصص مختلفة تماماً ولا تمت لبعضها بأي صلة سوى طباعتها بالصورة هذه.
كي لا أخرجك من جو القصص أثناء القراءة ارتأيت ألا أضع هوامش تحت الصفحات لتوضيح بعض ما كتبت لكن بعض ما كتبت قد يحتاج لتوضيح: اللغة في هذا الكتاب سلسة وبسيطة، لكنني في سبيل تقديم قربانٍ للّغة العربية غصت في قاموسها لإستخراج لآلئ منسية، إن صادفتك لؤلؤة هنا أو هناك ولم تدرك معناها من السياق ولم يسعفك بحث سريع على الإنترنت كل ما عليك فعله هو النظر في تاج اللغة وصحاح العربية.
عنوان القصة الثالثة (الثالثة لو نظرت لترتيبها هنا، الخامسة أو السادسة وفق ترتيبها في السلسلة الأصلية ووفق نظرتك للقصة الرابعة أو الرابعة والخامسة، أو التاسعة وفق ترتيبها رقمياً) هو غينُنغاغاب، الكلمة من الإسكندنافية القديمة والغين فيها تُلفظ كحرف جي بالإنجليزية أو الجيم باللهجة المصرية، هناك عدة أسماء وكلمات مستوحاة من الأساطير الإسكندنافية القديمة في تلك القصة لذا وجب التنويه للطريقة الأنسب لقراءة الغين فيها.
في قصة "الصفقة" هناك أبيات تلقيها شخصيةٌ اسمها حُباب، هذه الأبيات مترجمة من الإنجليزية، وجدتها في إضافة "هارتس أوف ستون" للعبة "ذا ويتشر: وايلد هانت"، هناك أيضاً أبيات في أحد الألغاز تشير إلى غيننغاغاب، تلك الأبيات من أشعار الإيدا الإسكندنافية، ترجمتها من الترجمة الإنجليزية.
