ما من شك أن طريقتنا هذه هي خلاصة الطرق الموصلة إلى الله؛ جمعت كل مزية انفرد بها أي طريق؛ لذلك نرى سيدي العارف بالله تعالى (الشيخ عبد المحمود الطيبي) قدس الله سره يقول:
على مسلك السمان ما زلت، ديدني ... ومشورتي في الناس أن "يتمنوا"
أي يسلكوا الطريق السماني.
وقد أكثر "رضي الله عنه" عن الطرائق التي أخذها سيدي الشيخ أحمد الطيب ناشر الطريق السمان بالسودان وغيره من البلاد.
وهذه هي الطبعة السادسة لهذا المجموع العظيم، ترخينا أن تختلف عن الطبعات الأخرى في شيئين: (الأول) أن تكون في حجم قريب من حجم الجيب بحيث يسهل على المريد أخذها معه في جيبه حيثما أراد؛ (والثاني) بعض التغييرات في ترتيب بعض الأوراد للتسهيل.
وشرحنا كثيرًا من عبارات الأوراد وكلماتها معتمدين في ذلك على ما جاء في كتاب (الأسرار الربانية والفيوضات الرحمانية على الصلوات الدرديرية) لسيدي (الشيخ أحمد الصاوي) "رضي الله عنه" وعنا به؛ وذيلنا بعض الصلوات بما جاء في فضائلها وأسرارها ومراتب إعدادها مما نقلناه عن المنهل العذب السائغ لواردة، و(أزاهير الرياض) لسيدي (الشيخ عبد المحمود نور الدائم). كذلك رأينا أن نضيف إلى هذه الأوراد، (حزب الأمان) لسيدي الشيخ أحمد الطيب "رضي الله عنه"، وعنا به؛ وحزبًا صغيرًا جليل القدر عظيم النفع لسيدي الشيخ قريب الله، وبعض فصول نقلناها برمتها من (أزاهير الرياض) لسيدي الشيخ عبد المحمود.
