يشكل هذا الكتاب أنموذجاً مثالياً عن المرأة الإيرانية في الروايات الحربية تقدمه الدكتورة أنسيّة الخزعلي عن المرأة بوصفها فئة إجتماعية تحافظ على التراث الثقافي وتقوم بنقل المبادئ والقيم الإنسانية في المجتمع، وخاصة أنها الأكثر عرضة للمخاطر في زمن الأزمات الإجتماعية مثل الحروب.
في البداية تروي الكاتبة تجربتها الشخصية مع الحرب عندما ذهبت مع عدد من الأخوات الحوزويات إلى الجبهات أو إلى مدينة "باتة"، حيث استشهد الكثير من الأخوة والأخوات في أثناء الطريق قبل الوصول إلى مكان الخدمة، وتصف كيف برز شعور الطاعة في الفتيات من خلال عرضها لرواية "دا" التي تشرح بعض ما حدث في الحرب المفروضة على إيران، وتسلط الضوء على المعاناة التي كانت المرأة الإيرانية تتحملها دفاعاً عن المبادئ والقيم الوطن، وكان هذا الشعور يترافق مع إخلاص الفتيات وطاعتهن لأوامر الإمام ووصاياه التي تحثهن أن يدافعن عن بلادهن وثورتهن كما أمرهن.
إنطلاقاً من هذا الهم الوطني والإنساني أرادت الكاتبة كما تقول تسليط الضوء على الجهات التي كانت تثير الفتن الداخلية في صفوف المجاهدين ومحاولتها خلق حالة من اليأس والتشكيك في المقاومة وتبث الوهن فيها.
ومن هنا، رأت الكاتبة ان محتوى هذا الكتاب ومضمون قصة "دا" التي تتناولها والتي تقوم بتصوير حال النزاع الداخلي والخارجي بشكل واضح "لقد شكل هذا المضمون والمحتوى عنصراً مهماً في صياغة الموضوع والرسالة التي يسعى الكتاب إلى إيصالها، ويضع جميع عناصر القصة في إطار ومفهوم واحد مصدره العقيدة... إذ أنه ينطلق في رؤية وطنية ودينية وهذا ما تجلى بشكل واضح في جميع عناصر الكتاب وخاصة في الشخصيات التي تناولها".
وهكذا أرادت الكاتبة الخزعلي أن تقول أن الحرب في رواية "دا" أصبحت نقطة تحول في تاريخ الرواية النسوية الإيرانية وترسيخ ثقافة المقاومة للمرأة ومشاركته له في العمل العسكري...
