يضم هذا الكتاب مجموعة من الأحاديث النبوية الشريفة التي عليها مدار دين الإسلام، والتي لو قرأها المسلم وعمل بما جاء فيها من الدعوة لخيري الدنيا والآخرة لكان-بإذن الله تعالى-من الناجين يوم الحساب، ذلك اليوم الذي لا ينفع فيه مال ولا بنون إلا من أتى الله بقلب سليم. وقد عني صديقنا الفاضل الأستاذ محمود الأرناؤوط بنحقيقه، وضبط نصوصه، والتقديم له، وتخريج أحاديثه، والتعليق عليه، تعليقات نافعة مفيدة. وقام والده الأستاذ المحدث الشيخ عبد القادر الأرناؤوط بمراجعة الكتاب والحكم على الأحاديث التي ساقها المؤلف في كتابه من خارج الصحيحين وبين درجة كل منها من جهة الصحة والضعف، وأضاف الى تعليقات المحقق عدداً من التعليقات القيمة.
