عبد الغني بن إسماعيل بن عبد الغني النابلسي الدمشقي الحنفي (1050 هـ - 1143 هـ / 1641 - 1731م) شاعر شامي وعالم بالدين والأدب ورحالة مكثر من التصنيف. ولد ونشأ وتصوف في دمشق. قضى سبع سنوات من عمره في دراسة كتابات "التجارب الروحيّة" لِفُقهاء الصوفية. وقد تعدّدت رحلاته عبر العالم الإسلامي، إلى إسطنبول ولبنان والقدس وفلسطين ومصر والجزيرة العربية وطرابلس وباقي البلاد السورية. استقر في مدينته دمشق وتوفي فيها.

"اليوم الأول كان خروجنا من دمشق بكرة نهار الإثنين السابع عشر من شهر جماد الثاني سنة إحدى وماية وألف. فأول ما زرنا رأس نبي الله (يحيي) بالجامع الأموي، ثم تربة بابه الصغير. وزرنا قبر والد إسماعيل وقبر جدنا عبد الغني وقبر جد والدنا إسماعيل النابلسي بالقرب من مزار الشيخ منصور بن عمار ثم عدنا إلى الشاغور وزرنا قبر أحمد السروجي وقبر خليخان وما يليه وقبور السادات العشرة في القراونة. والشيخ زعرور والشيخ شمعون وقبر بلال بن حمامة بن رباح الحبشي ثم قرأنا الفاتحة للسيدة زينب والشيخ مدرك وعمر الخباز وأبي يزيد البسطامي. وأحمد الحوري. وسعد بن عبادة الصحابي. ثم ذهبنا إلى جهة الباب الشرقي"، بهذا يبدأ إمام العلماء الصوفيين في عصره الشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي سرد رحلته إلى القدس وهي الرحلة المسماة بالحضرة الأنيسية في الرحلة القدسية، مقسماً إياها وفقاً للأيام وأحداثها وزياراتها من اليوم الأول وصولاً للأيام الأخيرة من أربعة وأربعون يوماً هي قوام الرحلة القدسية، وقد جاءت هذه الرحلة كحلقة من حلقات سلسلة فلسطين وآثارها الإسلامية للذكرى والتاريخ مطبوعة وفقاً للنسخة الوحيدة التي طبعت في مصر عام 1902.
