ولم تغفل الكاتبة عرض اللوحات الفنية سواء الزيتية أو الحجرية التي عثر عليها في مصر القديمة والمملكة الآشورية، إضافة إلى المنحوتات الصينية والمنمنمات الفارسية.
كما عرجت الكاتبة على طرق رعاية الخيول في العالم القديم، وأضفت الكاتبة مزيداً من المتعة على الكتاب، بتناولها للحكايات والأساطير والمخلوقات الخرافية التي ورد ذكرها في الكتب والحكايات الشعبية والتي تم تصويرها في الفنون القديمة.
