شغف أكثر المؤلفين قديما بإدماج الاصطلاحات الحكمية فى مؤلفاتهم، والذهاب إليها فى تحرير مطالبهم وأغراضهم، وتلوين عباراتهم بألوانها، وإفراغ لهجاتهم فى قوالبها، وأكثرها دورانا فيها مباحث المقولات العشر التى تعتبر مدخلا للعلوم الحكمية، وطريقا لفهم المطالب الكلامية، فقلما تجد كتابا لم ينح مؤلفه نحوها ولم ييمم وجهه شطرها، حتى أصبح تمام الوقوف على بعض أغراضه موقوفا على معرفتها وتصور حقائقها وتحقيق مباحثها، ومع هذا تجد كثيرا من الطلاب حينما تمر بهم غرباء منها واجمين لديها كما شاهدت ذلك أثناء قراءتى شرح العقائد النسفية فى فن الكلام، وشرح جمع الجوامع فى الأصول فكنت لتفهيم العنوان المشتمل على شئ من تلك الاصطلاحات أقيم لهم رسومها وأحيى دارسها فى درس غير خصيص بها ومع ذلك لا أبلغ بهم فى التفهيم مبلغ الملمين بأصولها.
وطالما حثثتهم على تعلم الضرورى منها والوقوف على نبذ من مباحثها حتى قرأت لهم بعد ظهر يومى الخميس والجمعة فى رسالة كنت وضعتها فى هذا الباب مع رسالة أخرى تسمى أولاهما: الإفاضة القدسية فى بيان بعض الاصطلاحات الحكمية، وثانيتهما تسمى: التصورات الأولية فى المقولات الحكمية على صورة سؤال وجواب وقد طبعناهما معا، ثم ألحوا على أن أقرأ لهم أيضا فى دروس خاصة حاشيتى على شرح المقولات للعلامة الشيخ أحمد بن أحمد بن محمد السجاعى.
فانتهزت هذه الفرصة للنظر فيها وتهذيب حواشيها وبدأت فى قراءتها بعد ظهر يومى الخميس والجمعة من كل أسبوع، وأخذت عقب كل درس أحرر خلاصة ما تم فى تقريره منضما إلى ما خلص من تلك الجمل مع تنبيه الطلاب إلى ما فيها، وتمت قراءتها وتحرير مباحثها فى الأسبوع الأخير من شهر رجب سنة 1336 هجرية فجاءت بحمد الله تعالى حاشية شافية على هذه الرسالة تقر بها أعين الناظرين وتشفى صدور قوم مؤمنين.
