إن أسهل ما يتوصل به علم القراءات من التصانيف المنظومات نظم الشيخ أبي محمد قاسم بن أحمد الرعيني الشاطبي" من قصيدته اللامية المنظومة من الضرب الثاني من بحر الطويل المنعوتة "بحرز الأماني ووجهة التهاني". فأول شارح شرحها الإمام على الدين السخاوي تلقاها عن ناظمها وتابعه الناس على ذلك فشرحوها، فمنهم من اقتصر، ومنهم من علل وأطال، وخرج عن حيز الاعتدال.
ومما يميز هذا الشرح الذي بين يدينا عن باقي الشروح هو تحليله لألفاظ هذه المنظومة، واستخراجه للقراءات منها بعبارة سهلة يفهمهما المبتدئ، وبالتالي عدم تعرضه للتعاليل المطولة، وذلك لأنها حسب قوله "مذكورة في تصانيف وضعت لها بإعراب القرآن والتفاسير وغير ذلك، ومما يميز هذا الشرح أيضاً هو أنه قد جاء جامعاً لكافة الشروحات التي وضعت حول هذه المنظومة والتي منها شرح السخاوي وشرح أبي شامة، وابن جبابرة والجعبري وغيرهم، هذا بالإضافة إلى بعض الزيادات والفوائد التي لم توجد من كتاب وإنما هي عند المصنف.
