إن المرض النفسى والإهمال فى علاجه يقود إلى ضياع طاقات الفرد والتى تصب فى نهايته الأمر فى مجموعة ما ينتجه المجتمع. ولقد كان الدافع إلى نشر هذا الكتاب أنه فى الوقت الذى نجد فيه العديد من المجلات والكتب المتخصصة فى الخارج، لكل تيار نفسى علاجى، ساعدت المتخصصين على إبداعهم فى بعض المسائل العلاجية، وإيجاد طرق تهدف إلى تخفيف المعاناة عن الإنسان وإعطائه الأمل فى الشفاء، لا نجد مثل هذه المجلات والكتب فى بلادنا. من هنا ننشر هذا الكتاب مساهمة جادة فى طريق نشر الوعى بالأمراض النفسية وطرق علاجها.
