Book Description
فتح باب السجن ودخلت جراية الصباح. وإذا برائحة الخبز الطازج تفوح ويتبعها جراية العسل والجبن.. الجبن الناشف زى الحطب. وتأتى كل سجانة لاستلام الجراية وتذهب إلى عنبرها لتساعدها بعض السجينات. ففى كل عنبر تظهر بعض السجينات كقائدات ومساعدات للسجانة وتسمى الواحدة نبطشية ويدخل أيضا من باب السجن جرادل الصابون السائل وتتوزع على العنابر حيث تهم بعض السجينات بكل همة ونشاط بدعك الأرضية بالصابون ثم تبرم البطاطين خارج العنابر أو تساوى كل سجينة سريرها وتطبق بطاطينها عليها.
وبعد أكل لقمة سريعة تتجه السجينات بمصاحبة السجانة التى تتناول إفطارها وينتشرن فى حوش السجن.. كل إلى ورشتها وقد أرتدين ملابس الشغل ووضعن الشال الأبيض حول رؤسهن، بعضهن يذهب إلى المطبخ والبعض إلى ورشة الخياطة والإخريات إلى المغسلة حيث حضر بعض المساجين من سجن الرجال لتشغيل الغلايات.
أما فى العاشرة فالسجن يفتح لاستقبال مايسترو الموسيقى وفى الحادية عشر تحضر المدرسات وتتجه النزيلات إلى مدرسة محو الأمية.
«سيدة كتلة» أبضاية السجن وهى امرأة سمراء فارعة الطول. نراها فى الحوش تروح وتجئ هنا وهناك. بل أن بعض مفاتيح العنابر معها. وتأتي النزيلات ليتوجهن إلى عنبر الموسيقى. وفى أثناء سيرهن فى الحوش يبث ميكرفون الإذاعة الأغانى الراقصة ويتحول الحوش إلى حلبه للرقص. وتتبارى السجينات فى أشواط الرقص التى لا رقيب عليها. فإذا بحركات الرقص الخليع تتنوع. وتحدث بينهن مباريات فى أيهن يأتين بأكثر الحركات خلاعة. وحين يصلن إلى عنبر الموسيقى تعلو أصوات الآلات الموسيقية المتنوعة.
