إن تكاثر مجموعات الصلاة يخلق في قلب الكنيسة المقدّسة رجاءً عظيماً. إلاّ أنه، لكي يكون لهذا الرجاء أساس ثابت، ينبغي أن يتوفّر لهذه المجموعات إعدادٌ جيّد لحياة مسيحيّة كاملة، وبخاصّة للصلاة الداخلية.
واليوم، يتصاعد من كلّ حدب وصوب نداءٌ أقوى وأشدّ إلحاحاً ممّا كان عليه في العقود الأخيرة السابقة: "علّمنا أن نصلي". ولكن، هل يستطيع الإنسان أن يعلّم أخاه الصلاة؟ أوليست الصلاة نشاطاً سرياً إليهاً أكثر مما هو إنساني؟
وهذا بالتحديد طموح هذا الكتيّب. فهو يبدأ بنصّ يعطي نظرة إجمالية عن الصلاة. ثم نجد فيه صلوات المسيح وأقواله في الصلاة، وحوالي مئة وخمسين قولاً في الموضوع عينه لأشخاص من العصور والحضارات والديانات المختلفة.
"صفحات روحية" هي سلسلة جديدة، طالما انتظرها القراء، تطلقها المكتبة البولسية، لتسد ثغرة في المكتبة الروحية العربية. وهي ليست نظريات روحية، بل لمحات تبرز خطاً روحياً سديداً.
