نشأته ودراسته
هو أستاذ الفلسفة بكلية الآداب جامعة القاهرة، مصرى الجنسية من مواليد القاهرة في 11 فبراير 1951، متزوج وله أربعة أبناء، حاصل على ليسانس آداب قسم الفلسفة بتقدير جيد جداً 1973 جامعة القاهرة، ماجستير فلسفة "القيم عند رالف بارتون بيرى" بتقدير ممتاز 1980 كلية الآداب القاهرة ودكتوراه الفلسفة "مفهوما الطبيعة والإنسان عند فيورباخ: دراسة نقدية" 1986، كلية الآداب – جامعة القاهرة.

يرسم سارتر فى أعماله لوحة مقتدرة للحياة، ناظراً إليها من زوايا جديدة كاشفة وفيها ينزع عن النفس البشرية قشرة مدنيتها ويقشر طبقات من الخبرة فى مهارة عنيفة كيما يكشف عن أعماق الحق، والحسية، والأعصبة فى عصرنا، وعن الشر الغامر الذى يمكن للإنسان الحديث أن ينحدر إلى مستواه. وعلى كثرة معجبيه، كثيراً ما تعرض للنقد بسبب عناصر التشاؤم التى يزخر بها مذهبه الوجودى وحصره نفسه بمحض اختياره فى نطاق عالم ينكر وجود الحقيقة الموضوعية مثلما ينكر قدرة العقل الإنسانى على تجاوز حدود العالم المادي.
