عقدت العزم على تحقيق شرح ابن كمال باشا لخمرية ابن الفارض بعد ان اطلعت عليه في خزانة المسجد النبوي بالمدينة المنورة على ساكنها أفضل الصلاة والسلام. وقد وجدته من الشروح التي عني فيها صاحبها ابن كمال باشا الحنفي بالشرح اللغوي دون الغوص في عالم الباطن والرموز.
وقد اجتهدت وسعي لكي أظفر بنسخة ثانية في الخزانة الملكية بالرباط بالمغرب فلم يتيسر المطلوب. وما وقفت عليه من رسائل ابن كمال باشا في الخزانة أتت على أكثره الأرضه. فأوشكت أن تحيله جذذا. وقد توكلت على الله في تحقيق هذا الشرح على ما توفر وتحصل من نسخة يتيمة بين يدي.
