هاتان رسالتان لطيفتان عظيمتان في فوائدهما من رسائل الشيخ العارف بالله ابن عطاء السكندري رحمه الله تعالى, أما الأولى فقد شرح فيها المصنف قصيدة للشيخ أبي مدين شعيب بن الحسين, في آداب الطريق وما ينبغي للمريد أن يتأدب به في صحبته للمشايخ. ويليها رسالة نافعة بعثها الشيخ رحمه الله تعالى من القاهرة لأصحابه وإخوانه من أهل الاسكندرية بين فيها آداب السلوك. وكان مما تناوله الكتاب: قصيدة أبي مدين والتخميس للشيخ محي الدين بن العربي, بيان واعتبار واستشراق أنوار, تنبيه وإعلام لأمور ينبغي للمتسببين أن يلزموها, فوائد قوله تعالى: (وأمر أهلك بالصلاة).
ابن عطاء السكندري: هو أحمد بن محمد بن عبد الكريم, المعروف بابن عطاء الله, كنيته: أبو الفضل, وأبو العباس. لقبه: تاج الدين, هو من أهل الإسكندرية, ونسب إليها. ونسب في بعض المصادر من جهة أصله فقيل: الجذامي.أهم مؤلفاته: التنوير في إسقاط التدبير, ولطائف المنن, تاج العروس, ومفتاح الفلاح, وغيرها. وقد كانت وفاته: في العقد الأول من القرن الثامن الهجري سنة تسع وسبعمائة(709هجرية).
