من المعتاد أن تمر مرحلة " الخطوبة " مرور الكرام في الروايات وإن كانت بالطبع ليست هكذا في الواقع ... قد يكون المعتاد أن نري قصص الحب أو الزواج أو غير ذلك ، لكن أن تكون الرواية بأكملها هي فترة الخطوبة فقط دون غيرها ... فهذا هو الجديد مع رواية " هبة سيد " ليس فقط مضمونها وفكرتها هو الجديد ، ولكن ينضم إليه الأسلوب السردي التي اتبعته المؤلفة ... فهي رواية يكتبها أبطالها كل علي حدة ... نري الموقف نفسه بقلم البطل والبطلة " سارة" و " عمر" نراها يوميات يكتبها كل منهما كأنه يكتبها لنا أو لنفسه عن الأخر صريحة بسيطة وفيها كل ما يدور في النفس من الداخل نستمتع كثيرا بأنها ترينا الواقع بصدق وتفصل ما نجده مجملا في حياتنا .... القلق من الزيارة الأولي للعريس ... والراحة من النظرة الأولي التي تصاحب كافة الموضوعات التي نجد عنوانها توفيق الله .... تأخذنا برقي مشاعرها وخفة ظلها ... فهي لم تغوص في الأحلام الرومانسية وإنما قدمت لنا علاقة قوية قد نجدها في الحياة .... دون التحليق في السماء أو الإنحطاط لقاع الأرض ... لم تكن قصة حب ملتهبة يصاحبها جنون الشباب ولكنها أخذت الجميل من كل شيء .... المشاعر الحقيقية والبداية التقليدية والمواقف الطبيعية و " الفضفضة " عن كل ما يحدث ويدور علي ورق يحكي لنا كيف كانت يوميات أثنين مخطوبين .
أول ما لفت نظري كان عينيه وابتسامته أو بالأحري مشروع ابتسامته يبدو أنه كان غارقا في الخجل هو الاخر فلم يكن يعرف هل يبتسم أم يبدو جادا . أما عيناه فكاتنا صادقتين ! وكان نظره لا يستقر علي شيء حتي أنني ظننت أنه ربما يكون أحول وكادت الفكرة أن تجعلني اضحك.

وكل ما تلاقيني متضايق شويه من غلا الاسعار تقوللي "الحمد الله إن أنا جبت الكيتشين ماشين في الرخص! وكأن الكيتشين ماشين بتاعها ده هو أساس البيت مثلا . ولما سألتها يعني ده لزمته إيه؟ قالتلي " علشان نتمنظر بيه" أحلي حاجة فيها أنها ما بتشيلش هم حاجة وكل ما تحس أنها هتقلب بغم تقوم تقلبها هزار وضحك مش عارف لو كنت خدت واحد جد قوي كنت هاعمل إيه.
