قد يتساءل الباحث ونحن نقدّم له هذا المصنّف: الجزء الرابع من سلسلة: المعراج/ النص والواقع والخيال، ألا يزال في جعبتنا جديدٌ نعرضه في هذا المجال؟! أو لم تستوفِ كتب ثلاثة متوالية البحث في الموضوع، فأنهكته دراسة وفحصاً وتمحيصاً؟!.
صحيح أن المعراج لم يشغل في النص القرآني سوى آية واحدة هي على الأرجح آية الإسراء 17/1 كما يقول الكثيرون، أو بضع آيات في أحسن تقدير، وفقاً لفرضية بعض المفسّرين القائلة إنّ عدداً من آيات سورة النجم يتناول المعراج.
ولكن إذا كان المعراج لم يشغل في المصحف سوى هذه المساحة الضئيلة فذاك لم يمنعه من أن يملأ الوجدان الإسلامي والمخيلة والفنون ويشغلها منذ قرون وإلى اليوم.
والتوسّع والتعمّق في دراسته ونشر نصوصه، مدخل لفهم تطوّر العقيدة والتفسير وعلوم الحديث وغيرها في الإسلام، لذا فأربعة بل عشرات المجلدات قد لا تفي هذا الموضع حقه.
والمعراج في رواياته يقودنا، لا محالة، إلى دراسة في الأديان المقارنة، فالتشابه بين هذا الحدث، كما رواه المسلمون، وما نجده في المأثورات الدينية السابقة للإسلام وفي مختلف الثقافات الهندية والرافدية والفرعونية والفارسية واليهودية والمسيحية، أمر يستوقف كل باحث ويسترعي إنتباهه، فيجد أن لا مفرّ له من دراسة هذه الروايات المتنوّعة لإستجلاء أسباب التشابه بينها، وبالتالي إمكانية التفاعل والمبارزة والتأثّر بين هذه النصوص والحضارات المختلفة، ولا سيما التداخل بينها وبين روايات المعراج.
