نشأته ودراسته
هو أستاذ الفلسفة بكلية الآداب جامعة القاهرة، مصرى الجنسية من مواليد القاهرة في 11 فبراير 1951، متزوج وله أربعة أبناء، حاصل على ليسانس آداب قسم الفلسفة بتقدير جيد جداً 1973 جامعة القاهرة، ماجستير فلسفة "القيم عند رالف بارتون بيرى" بتقدير ممتاز 1980 كلية الآداب القاهرة ودكتوراه الفلسفة "مفهوما الطبيعة والإنسان عند فيورباخ: دراسة نقدية" 1986، كلية الآداب – جامعة القاهرة.
