ويلقي الكتاب الضوء على الصراع بين القوى المحلية منذ تأسيس قبيلة النعيم لإمارة عجمان على ساحل الخليج العربي زمن الدولة اليعربية.
وساهمت الظروف الإقتصادية التي اتسمت بالجدب والفاقة في تغذية التنازع على السلطة وصولاً لتكوين الثروة البسيطة غير أن هذا الأمر لم يمزق النسيج الإجتماعي للمجتمع وظلت علاقاته متينة وقوية كونت أرضاً خصبة لإنشاء دولة متماسكة وصلبة بعد إكتشاف النفط وتمتع الجميع بإيراداته في ظل قيادة حكيمة لأعضاء المجلس الأعلى برئاسة المغفور له بإذن الله الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان.
