يضم هذا الكتاب تحقيقاً لكتاب الشيخ "محمد بن سعيد الحنفي المكي"، "الفوائد الجليلة في مسلسلات ابن عقيلة"، حيث عرف المحقق في الفصل الأول بالسنة وأنواعها، مع أمثلة لذلك، والفرق بين السنة والحديث القدسي، ومكانة السنة، وأهمية الإسناد، وأقسام الحديث إلى صحيح وغيره. وأفرد الفصل الثاني لقسم الحديث المسلسل وتعريفه، وفائدته، وأهم الكتب المصنفه في ذلك. وجعل الفصل الثالث لترجمة المؤلف وشيوخه ومؤلفاته، وكتب في الفصل الرابع لمحة عن المخطوطة ووصف نسخها، وصوراً عنها. ثم كتاب الفوائد الجليلة كما أراده مؤلفه أن خرجت أحاديثه، وعلق عليها، وبين ضعف رجال التسلسل أحياناً مع صحة المتن أو عدالة الرجال والتوقف في المتن.
