يتناول هذا الكتاب الجوانب النظرية والحرفية المتخصصة فى العمل الإذاعى المسموع ( الراديو ) والمرئى ( التلفزيون ) وهى جوانب يحتاجها العاملون فى هذين المجالين وكتاب مبدعين بل وكل مشارك فى العمل فى الراديو أو التليفزيون من مخططين وواضعى السياسات الإعلامية وممثلين وموسيقيين ومهندسين والعاملين فى تنسيق البرامج وغيرهم كثير فان معرفة طبية العمل فى كل من الراديو والتلفزيون وخصائص هذا العمل فى كل من الراديو والتليفزيون وخصائص هذا العمل وتقنياته بل وما يمكن أن نطلق عليه أسرار العمل ذاته هى الخطوات الأولى على الطريق الصحيح نحو إنتاج برامج على درجة عالية من الجودة من الناحية الفنية والناحية والإعلامية الاتصالية سواء بسواء والمؤلف يتناول كل ذلك فى إطار تكنولوجيا الاتصال ومستحدثاتها والمرتكزات الأساسية للثورة التكنولوجية التى نعيشها حيث الحاسبات الإلكترونية والأقمار الصناعية والاتصال متعدد الوسائط والصور المختلفة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات . أما مؤلفا هذا الكتاب فهو أحد خبراء ورواد العمل الإعلامى والتربوى والأكاديمى فى مصر وعالمنا العربى ، فقد تدرج فى عمله الإذاعى الى ان اصبح رئيسا مؤسسا لأول إذاعة مصرية خارج القاهرة والإسكندرية ( إذاعة وسط الدلتا ) وهو أستاذ محاضر فى علوم الاتصال الجماهيرى بقسم الإعلام بكلية الأداب جامعة الإسكندرية - دمنهور كما عمل لسنوات عديدة ( عشرة سنوات ) أستاذا محاضرا ورئيسا بقسم الإعلام بكلية الأداب جامعة الزقازيق وقسم الدراسات العليا بها ، وأشرف وناقش بعض رسائل طلابها للدراسات العليا والماجستير وقسم الصحافة بجامعة الأزهر ومعهد الإذاعيين الفارقة ، ومعهد الإذاعة والتليفزيون وعدد كبير من كليات التربية النوعية وقد تبلورت خبرته الواسعة من خلال دراساته الأكاديمية بكلية الآداب جامعة عين شمس والمعهد العالى للفنون المسرحية ومعهد الإذاعة ومعهد براون بالولايات المتحدةالأمريكية بالاضافة غلى رحلاته العلمية والتدريبية فى العديد من دول العالم مثل ألمانيا الاتحادية ( سابقا ) والمملكة المتحدة وهولندا والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية . وقد أهله من الميداليات وشهادات التقدير مثل ميدالية التفوق الإعلامى ، وميدالية رايدة الإلام المحلى (1984) وهكذا جاء هذا الكتاب عملا ومتكملا صاغة خبير إعلامى متخصص .
