"ومهما تعددت أنواع الأجوبة التي يقدمها الإيمان للإنسان فإن كل واحد منها يجعل لحياة الإنسان المحدودة معنى غير محدود، معنى لا يزول ولا يفنى مهما اجتمع لمحاربته من جيوش الآلام والوحدة والموت، فبالإيمان إذن نستطيع أن نجد الحياة، وبه نفهم معانيها السامية. فما هو هذا الإيمان؟ كيف الإيمان كما فهمته بإعلان غير المنظورات فقط، ولا هو بالوحي الذي ينزل على قلوبنا فقط، لأن مثل هذا التحديد يظهر لنا شكلاً واحداً من أشكال الإيمان المتعددة، كلا ولا هو علاقة الإنسان بالله فقط، (لأن الإيمان يجب أن يتحدد أولاً ثم الله) ولا هو الإذعان لما أخبر به الإنسان فقط، كما يعتقد الكثير من الناس، وإنما الإيمان الحقيقي الكامل هو معرفة معاني الحياة الإنسانية معرفة حقاً تحمل الإنسان على محبة الحياة والمحافظة عليها، الإيمان هو وحده قوة الحياة".
